Syandus AI Services Addendum

Effective Date: June 13, 2025

This Syandus AI Services Addendum ("AI Addendum") supplements and is incorporated into the Terms of Service for AliveSim Studio and Platform ("Terms") between Syandus, Inc. ("Syandus") and Customer. This AI Addendum provides additional details regarding Syandus' use of artificial intelligence services in connection with the AliveSim Platform. In case of any conflict between the Terms and this AI Addendum, this AI Addendum will take precedence regarding AI-related matters.

All capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein will have the meanings set forth in the Terms.

1   AI Services Overview

1.1 AI Integration. AI services are integral to the AliveSim Platform functionality and cannot be disabled. The Platform is designed as an AI-enhanced learning experience that delivers superior outcomes through the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.

1.2 AI Processing Scope. AI services process Customer Content for content creation purposes only and do not process End User personal data. End Users interact with pre-processed content and do not have direct AI interactions during learning sessions.

1.3 Current AI Services. Syandus currently utilizes AI for the following services:

AI Text-to-Speech (TTS): Converting text content to synthetic voice audio files
AI Translation: Translating textual and voice content into multiple languages

1.4 Additional AI Services. Syandus may add additional AI services to enhance platform functionality, including but not limited to content development support, scenario development assistance, and synthesis of conversional dialogues.

2   AI Data Processing and Protection 

2.1 No Training on Customer Data. Customer Account content and Customer Data are never used to train, improve, or develop AI models by Syandus or its AI service providers. This prohibition applies to all current and future AI services.

2.2 Processing Purpose. Customer Data sent to AI service providers is processed solely for the purpose of delivering the requested AI service (e.g., generating voice files, translating content, content development support) and for no other purpose.

2.3 Data Segregation. AI processing maintains the same data segregation, access controls, and security measures described in the Data Processing Addendum incorporated into the Terms.

2.4 Service Delivery Processing. AI processing occurs solely for service delivery purposes. Customer Data is not retained by AI service providers beyond the duration necessary to complete the requested service.

3   AI Subprocessors and Vendor Commitments

3.1 AI Subprocessors. AI service providers are included in the Subprocessor List (available here). Addition of new AI subprocessors follows the same 30-day notice and objection process outlined in the Data Processing Addendum.

3.2 Vendor Data Commitments. Each AI subprocessor has contractually committed in their respective enterprise terms that Customer Data will not be used for model training, improvement, or any purpose beyond providing the requested AI service.

4  Processing Locations and Security

4.1 Processing Locations. AI processing occurs within the United States. Specific geographic locations and compliance details for each AI service provider are documented in the Subprocessor List referenced in Section 3.1.

4.2 Security Standards. AI processing follows the same security and operational standards outlined in the Data Processing Addendum (available here). 

5  Customer Controls and Transparency

5.1 Content Review. Customer remains responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before publication.
5.2 Human Oversight. No dynamic AI content is delivered to End Users without prior human review and approval. All AI-generated content is locked upon publication.

5.3 AI Usage Tracking. AI usage is tracked through the AI Credits system (for applicable subscription plans) and usage logs are available through the Customer Account interface.

5.4 Additional AI Features. New AI services will be clearly documented, and customers will be notified through standard service update communications.

6  Incident Response

6.1 AI-Related Incidents. For enterprise customers, AI-related incidents that impact platform functionality follow the same incident response procedures outlined in the Enterprise Service Level Agreement (available here).  

7  Updates and Modifications

7.1 AI Addendum Updates. Syandus may update this AI Addendum to reflect new AI services, regulatory requirements, or improved AI governance practices. Updates will be provided with 30 days' notice unless required immediately by law or regulation.

7.2 AI Service Evolution. As AI technology evolves, Syandus may enhance or modify AI services while maintaining the same data protection and governance standards outlined in this AI Addendum.
